Showdown between VOD and DVDs? Demand for DVD Movie Rentals Continues to Explode  

 DVDPlay Reaches 13 Million Movie Rental Milestone and Completes 1,400 Kiosk Installations Nationwide 

Jan. 16  CAMPBELL, Calif--DVDPlay Inc. announced 13 million DVD movie rentals and1,400 kiosks nationwide; plans to deploy an estimated 1,800 more by the end of 2008. 

“The DVD is very much alive and will continue to be a dominant home entertainment medium for the foreseeable future,” said Chuck Berger, CEO of DVDPlay.
